What is a Galgo?
Galgos are an ancient Spanish breed of greyhound, once the exclusive pets of royalty. Unlike traditional racing greyhounds, Galgos are used for hunting, primarily rabbits. Since they hunt by sight and speed rather than scent and endurance, they are referred to as “sighthounds,” or “gazehounds.” Other sighthound breeds include the Whippet, Saluki and Irish Wolfhound.
